In this discussion, writer Paul Elie and journalist David Gregory reflected on Gregory's religious exploration as outlined in his book How’s Your Faith? An Unlikely Spiritual Journey (2015). Gregory discussed his study group of Jewish journalists, the creative form of Sabbath observance in his household, and the role of Psalm 27 in his spiritual journey. He also spoke about his experience of the presence of God, an experience that seldom figures into discussions of Jewish identity and affinity and is rarely described with the term “faith.”
The event was held as part of Georgetown's annual Jesuit Heritage Week and sponsored by the Georgetown University Office of the President.
