Announced in May 2025 by The Lancet, the Georgetown-Lancet Commission on Faith, Health, and Trust brings together a multidisciplinary group of faith and health experts to explore how collaboration across sectors can improve global health outcomes and well-being. Led by the Georgetown University Global Health Institute, the commission draws on years of research and dialogue at the Berkley Center, where Senior Fellow Katherine Marshall played a foundational role. 

Senior Fellow Andrew Prevot was quoted in a new Politico article that traces Pope Leo XIV's family ties to New Orleans, revealing how his Creole heritage is shaping perceptions of the new pontiff. 

Senior Fellow Paul Elie's new book The Last Supper: Art, Faith, Sex, and Controversy in the 1980s will be released on May 27, 2025. Elie will discuss his work with Daniel Burke at Politics and Prose in Washington, DC, on May 28. As part of the promotional events, Elie will also engage in conversations in Chicago, Illinois, Cambridge, Massachusetts, and Brooklyn, New York.
