Scholars Publish Chapters in Handbook on Religion and International Affairs

A new volume in the Elgar Handbooks on Political Science series examines the relationship between religion and international relations, mainly focusing on Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, and Judaism. Berkley Center fellows Jocelyne Cesari, Peter Mandaville, and Katherine Marshall contributed chapters to the handbook.

​The Catholic Media Association awarded A World Free from Nuclear Weapons: The Vatican Conference on Disarmament, co-edited by Senior Fellow Rev. Drew Christiansen, S.J., its 2021 second place award in the category of morality, ethics, Christology, Mariology, and redemption.

Remembering William R. Berkley

The Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs at Georgetown University mourns the loss of William R. Berkley, our inspirational benefactor and devoted friend. Berkley Corporation from humble beginnings into a global insurance powerhouse, Bill's success was matched by his generosity as a philanthropist.
