A group of experts and practitioners knowledgeable about Guatemala’s health situation and challenges met in Antigua Guatemala, on February 26 and 27, 2016, to explore the roles of various institutions inspired by religious faith in relation to healthcare and development in Guatemala. This document summarizes the workshop, organized by the Berkley Center and WFDD. The aim was to better understand the issues of greatest concern in the health sector to development and religious actors, their understanding of the challenges facing the sector, and their direct roles in and experience of service provision in Guatemala.
