Spring 2024 Student Symposium: REWA Minors

This project investigates and compares the positions that Muslim and Middle Eastern/North African nations have taken in response to the plight of three different Muslim groups—the Uyghur Muslims in China, the Rohingya in Myanmar, and the Palestinians in Palestine and Israel. It evaluates the factors that have played into MENA nations’ perceptions of the plights of each of these groups, as well as these nations’ actions, or lack thereof, in response to these perceptions. The project aims to understand the factors that play into which Muslim groups these MENA nations choose to stand with.
