The theme of inequality has emerged in our conversations over the past several weeks—and will likely accompany us through the semester. This week, bloggers from South Korea, Ivory Coast, and Rwanda wrote about the resources Catholic social thought brings to the idea of "shared prosperity" now officially embraced by the World Bank. As further responses to Dr. Kaushik Basu's recent lecture, they considered how the ideas of solidarity and the common good can be used to create "authentic development" and equitable growth.
